Training
The RailCampus OWL sees itself as a networking platform and an interface between education, industry, and the railway sector. While RailCampus itself does not provide vocational training, it creates the conditions for connecting training programs, companies, and future skilled workers. Through close cooperation with its member organizations, a strong network is formed that opens up a wide range of career opportunities in rail, mobility, and engineering.
Many RailCampus OWL member organizations are actively involved in the training of young people and, through their practice-oriented apprenticeship and qualification programs, make an important contribution to securing skilled labor in the railway sector. This offer is complemented by additional partners from infrastructure, engineering, digitalization, and mobility sectors.
RailCampus OWL acts as a central interface: interested individuals receive orientation on training pathways, career development opportunities, and qualification programs within the network. At the same time, companies benefit from strengthened networking with universities, research institutions, and other industry stakeholders.

Mobility Professionals for the Future
The training programs offered by member organizations are particularly characterized by their strong practical orientation. Whether technical professions, operational railway jobs, or specialized qualifications in the rail sector – the close connection between theory and practice prepares trainees specifically for the demands of a modern and increasingly digital mobility industry.
In this way, RailCampus OWL e.V., together with its partners, contributes to attracting, training, and sustainably retaining skilled professionals for the mobility of the future in the region.
Continuing Education and Professional Development
The railway and mobility sector is undergoing profound transformation. Digitalization, automation, and new mobility concepts continuously change the requirements for specialists and executives. RailCampus OWL supports this transformation process through a wide range of continuing education programs and active exchange between industry, research, and the railway sector.
A particular focus lies on practice-oriented seminars and qualification formats. For example, RailCampus OWL e.V. organizes the specialist seminars of the DMG e.V. for managers and railway professionals. These events address current developments and challenges in the sector and provide space for professional exchange, new impulses, and strategic discussions on the mobility of the future.
Through close cooperation with DB Systemtechnik, participants also gain exclusive insights into modern research and development environments. Guided tours of laboratories and technical facilities provide hands-on knowledge of innovative railway technologies, testing procedures, and current research projects. In this way, technological development is not only explained theoretically but made directly tangible on site.
In addition, events, networking meetings, and professional dialogues organized by RailCampus OWL e.V. promote knowledge transfer between rail operators, industry, research institutions, and other companies in the mobility sector. This exchange within the network supports new collaborations, strengthens the transfer of innovation into practice, and creates valuable connections between different stakeholders in the industry.
Member organizations of RailCampus OWL e.V. also make an important contribution to the qualification of skilled workers. Several partners offer retraining and continuing education programs, opening up new career paths within the rail and mobility sector. These programs support both entry into the profession and further professional development in an increasingly technology-driven working environment.
RailCampus OWL thus contributes, together with its partners, to making knowledge visible, developing competencies, and actively shaping the future of mobility.
